My workflow for years is the same.. And i do near to zero retopo... I do a rough base with topo in mind... A volume sculpt... Than i use lvl2 as new base... Do some modeling on top... This is my sculpt geo and my lowres base... Uvs are even simpler... Cut by hard edge... unfold... back... Little hand work...… -

Best way to get good uv's in my opinion is do a planar map on the faces you want to map, keep in mind where the seams are gunna be. Then select the edges where you want the seam to be for the map itself, do cut UV's. then reselect the Uv's and do an unfold uv playing with the solver weighting setting until you get a layout… -

Hi, Can anyone tell me why my mesh gets fragmented into face islands when I apply a lattice on the boy's head, eyebrows, eyes, tongue and hair?
