Oh, so NOW you're going to SF!? You shoulda told me to wait there a while... I can't really suggest anything, since when I was there every day was pretty much packed with workshop-stuff. The cafe called Briazz next to the Galleria Park Hotel (where I was staying) makes really nice cookies (I had several), and good paninis,…
I had tons of fun doing it! We like the other groups got time screwed... I know the next one they plan on giving us a ton more time to present/work. Did not get nearly as much done as I had hoped... The room was fairly small but packed out to about 75 people... Some even ended up standing around walls to see the workshop!!
Hey man, Thought that some of this might be good inspiration for your hard surface stuff and for proportions etc. Hope this helps: They are very typical space marines but there is some nice HS examples especially from bulgarov in there. Its worth taking a look at Jes Goowin as well for workshops take on the space marine.…
I really love the girl with the red hair and the druid.. the white cloth draws a lot of attention upwards to the head, the important part of a character, same for the red hair. Your warrior could need some more love I think ^^ take a look at the dota 2 style guide.. since you're tackling a top down view, right?…
Hi, good start. I got the impression you're working on some strange/old reference image as the back side is not shaped that way, but have an adjustable "face cushion" you integrated into the main body. Be sure to pick the reference pack from Bitmap and the high resolution side views I posted in this workshop general…
Thanks Kot_Leopold and Mezz! I should have mentioned I'm working from a concept where the character appears to be wearing high heeled boots and her shoulders do appear to be arched backwards. I'll attach it for reference. It's not my concept, but Travis Bourbeau's from the Gnomon Workshop. As for the hands, I'll have to…
ty but i read it already. But i want to ask something , when i did model lower than 350 tris or 400 it looks very bad when i do model with 700 800 tris it looks good but in workshop there are a lot of awesome models how to do that? (if u answer its normalmap i know that but when doing lowpoly to sculpt it has some bad…
I suggest you to take a look at Valve's directions on texture painting and preparing masks. You can find the pdf's here: http://www.dota2.com/workshop/requirements Your high poly is good but the textures lower the overall quality of the item. Try to get a more "golden" look and give those crystals some self illumination.…
@Dave Sounds like cool project. Cafe racers have very badass and troublemaker kind of vibe :) I prefer ones without fairing though. Wish I had a little garage or workshop space, would love to give modding a shot. @Stephen She's a beauty. Cool scenery too, would love to ride there @Xoliul Is that exhaust blowing fumes…
