Heh, I have no idea. It was what the client wanted for a Demo. I think they had plans for a PSP port so they wanted assets they could optimize on their end. I dont know if it will make it to an actual game. I hope it does. Im a huge Brom fan and it was a very fun contract.
There have been a few good articles that discuss this recently. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-02-01-shooters-how-video-games-fund-arms-manufacturers
I find this is a similar attitude to what people say about animators or graphic designers etc... any artistic field.. you get to do art all day, that's fun! the reward is the job! you're creative, it comes naturally to you, so we shouldn't have to pay you anything for such a fun job. yeah okay asshole, fun pays my bills…
"I'm kinda sick of Hollywood squeezing the fun out of movies at this point." "Hollywood squeezing the fun out of movies" Really? Personally I think the comedy/action thing is so freaking overdone. I based the concept on the New 52 Aquaman comic (I really enjoyed the movie by the way) and thought this would be a good time to do this character. I sculpted it using ZBrush, I modeled some parts and Maya and finally, I rendered it using Arnold.…
Dear Polycount members, I would like to share my very first meeting with the next-gen character modeling. This is a fan art based on Hong Ly's incredible concept art: Shambala Creature. The programs I used: Autodesk Softimage, Pixologic ZBrush, Adobe Photoshop, xNormal I would love to recieve some constructive critics!…
