Interested in two important points for me: 1. This is how i can save my own theme in xml format? each time i reinstall or reset the settings I had to change everything manually, which is not comme Il faut. Google did not give any fixed results, I have osx, I checked all the hidden folders(Show package), but never found my…
Hi guys, me working on multiple animations for the same (or different many similarly named rigs), this will be hundreds of animations soons, and what better way to go from an animation to the other than with 1 click, also having it change the timeline range automatically, zooming it in graph editor or dopesheet or timeline…
Now I've started to notice that Blender's UV checker/color grid should be just a simple overlay setting. Kinda too much to set it up with a material, because it's saved as a data in the .blend file and needs to be done in every project.
This is also connected to the startup.blend. First close all tabs by right click at them and choosing delete. Then save the startup file. One tab has to exist though. You can't remove them all without to modify the source code.
Hello all - Is there any way to tell the app to absolutely / without fail / definitely save (pack) all currently unsaved edited textures ? And by that I mean, *not* having to rely on the prompt for unsaved content on exit. In other words : I am looking for an equivalent to ctrl-S, but for all textures. So that I never end…
@RN I mean being a one way street is what is pretty much true for all formats that are not the native scene files of the corresponding application I think. Just that some formats support more, some less. Most formats can not save procedural generation parameters like modifier stacks and I am not even speaking of moving…
@FourtyNights Ha, thanks ! Yeah I was aware of the new paradigm for preferences saving/autosaving - I just didn't know that many settings (layout, preferences window being shown or not, and a few other things like which matcap/lighting to load by default for instance) were part of the startup file instead of being saved as…
Not sure if it's still the case as I've changed mine a little but by default blender has(had?) two standard sculpt brushes "Brush" and "SculptDraw". I used to accidentally toggle between them with the hotkey but they had different setting so would often do something I wasn't expecting like you described, making huge…
The only way I know o keep materials in order is saving another blender file for materials only and use "Linked" materials in your master file. It doesn't do it exactly but just makes the switch not so many time necessary
yeah. bloated like crazy. I use only save favorite and append them back feature. If you found simpler one let us know please. Too bad brushes seems couldn't be made"assets" for a new asset browser
