i did that in college when i was trying to figure out better ways to model stuff. Worked in my favor, since some chicks thought it was a real tattoo and later wanted me to draw on them. horray for studying how to make proper boob loops on a "model." :) was a pretty useful study, only need to do a few though!
Looks awesome sandro, love the style. :) Mere hours after the unveiling of Cataclysm the concept art really got to me, and now im drawing a worgen of my own, coming along nicely, trying to not make the same skewing errors i made with the last one, and taking on the shapes a bit more carefully: // EDIT 3: Image Removed //
I'm not sure yet. I want to make a basic platformer in the vein of Metal Slug and Castlevania (just an intro, single level for gameplay demonstration and an outro), and I was thinking of doing high-res sprites for all the animation and stuff. I've been thinking I may hand-draw everything, but I may model some stuff and…
We have a rug. An unfinished rug, but a rug nonetheless. Most of the textures are still just base colors, but whatever. I realized as I was working on this that I've never really done much texture painting that wasn't going to be affected by specular, normals and other stuff, so it's all very new to me. It feels a lot more…
I'm not sure what you mean by how it affekt how people look at your work, but I'd say that having your own style is great, since it gives your models a personal touch, but also will make them stand out from the crowd. I think "art style" is most noticeable when doing 2d art, look at Jouste's drawings forexample, they're…
Yet another illustration for a childrens tale a friend wrote. Yes I know, not game art but what the heck it's the only artwork I've done in quite some time outside of work. The idea behind it is that of a group of creatures who live in a monocromatic world and then decide to color it. hopefully the drawings will be good…
Jeremy-S: Wicked modeling. I really like the hard surfaced areas. I'm not sure if you did it on purpose, but the the structures in the middle of the pecks and right under the ribs seem to draw the eye in since they almost make a circle. If that wasn't your intention, maybe softening it up in the peck area could balance…
Awesome work as usual in here guys, Nick Carver your drawings make me dribble! Sorry for quoting this again but... Metal Bump 9 works for mirrored uv's, just sussed that on a modular road that is mirrored on 2 axis. Just enable the plugin material as above and locate your normal map, mb9 takes specular and a few other…
Also working on a TF2 poster for the competition, so far I've got most of the type laid out as well as a backdrop for a picture I plan on drawing. I'm thinking either a demo chasing a scared, fleeing soldier or a soldier in the fetal position surrounded by sticky bombs. Also gonna add a tagline much like "Kill a Soldier…
bunch of test poses.. Rhinokey posted a wip and a modelsheet in a thread,(http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=68101) as a character animator I consider myself useless at modeling and let alone texturing or drawing. so I tend to yank other peoples modelsheets and model and animate.. my internet conection was…
