I'm working on my first game character (I want to become familiar with the whole workflow / retopo, baking maps, etc.)! :) Don't hesitate to give me some advices! Crosspost from my thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1962030#post1962030
Dude, that's really smart! Can't wait to try this on my next character. Now, I'm wrapping up this character. here's the beauty shot for Amon unmasked. Here's the thread if you want to check out the whole process : http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125320
Kickass sculpt but Ian's face is far narrower, I think that'll help you. Just grab the whole thing and scaLe it thinner. Also take more care of his eyes, bulbous nose prosthetic and mouth, those are very distinctive features of his. Especially his eyes.
Geez, the awesome level is always so high in this thread! Almost makes me embarassed to post. Almost... My current meager offering: Techno-Shaman's staff WIP. I'll be starting a proper thread after I've had some sleep, because this is just a prop for a whole character I'd love some advice on...
SaferDan, I love what you're doing there. In the door open animation, the central spinning thing looks off-centre because of the lighting. If you can afford the extra polys, I'd separate those four bolts and just spin them, so it looks like the whole thing's spinning but the lighting remains constant.
Great stuff as always guys. fightpunch- love that whole run you're doing. Retleks - super slick armor. Rayph- nice work dude, love that mech arm contraption. Substra's previous deadline was the other day and I hit here with trying to submit. Was fun to get back into some more detailed digital sculpting.
@Coridium - Fantastic work as always, thanks for sharing the tutorial, I can definitely use that soon :D Some progress on a scene ive been working on for a few weeks, ive actually done a whole tonne of work, so ill be posting up a work-thread over the weekend, thought id post a wip for y'all :)
i think thats way more complicated than just adding 2 smaller ones, its not that they are expensive or anything. i'll just have to carve a bigger whole out of the propeller base and there is enough space for this :) Also i don't want to stuff the exhaust too much, i am only going to do one printable solution but 2 prints,…
Hey everybody, I rarely post in this thread but I've got this character I'm working on so I figured I might as well get some critique. Inspired by Rango and Shaggy. I'm not sure how I should do his scales, if at all. I was thinking of possibly some "patches" of scales rather covering his whole body.
Wow that turned out great for a kinect. I've been doing scan-data cleanup for a small 3d scanning studio, and even with a whole multi-camera setup this is fairly close in quality to what they are getting. Now I wonder if they are using misconfigured equipment or some such. I suppose I shouldn't complain if it means they…
