I was trying to google with no success. Is there a way to make zbrush ignore inactive subtools when you sculpt? For example: a box is on a plane and both are separate subtools. I want to sculpt surface under the box but my cursor always jumps on inactive subtool.

Assuming you have a decent gpu and aren't working at a stupid resolutionthe speed painter runs at it almost entirely down to how complex your layer stack is. In this example the stack is simple.
