I use mainly Maya, starting to learn also 3ds max. How can I make the distances between the outer edge and the inner equal, for example, on a rectangle? Tried using different tools, inset, outline, shell, but haven`t found a solution. Thanks!
Reset xform. whats happening is you have uneven transforms being applied.
You might at times want to use one of the subobject selection modes to change the shape of things with scale etc, That will not modify the objects transforms.
A fair few operations and modifiers will be affected by the stored object trasforms of an object, something to keep in mind
