Studios will sometimes keep open applications for when they actually need to people. That way they have a larger pool to draw from. They also may be getting applications for when they are preparing to receive a project or knowing they need to ramp up production in the coming months. Many studios will also keep open…
If this first idea were to be the case. I'd tell the company I wouldn't need their tools (with the exception of an exporter/importer). Any artist trying to demand as much as the next artist is given for that different application. Goes beyond me why on earth they cannot use the exisiting toolset for their desired…

There are lots of technical things we could mention but you've made a little truck and it looks like a truck so you made a good start. I think you should learn to apply UV mapping and paint some nice textures for it next - that covers the basic requirements
Assuming you're talking about Unreal - Same principle applies, but you'd multiply your vert color with a new texture map that has that kind of noise pattern. You may need to pass the result through a power node to increase contrast.
Edit: Ack what did I do wrong? with the embedding? Wow wonderful, most of the videos have already been removed due to terms of use violation. It says the length of videos are too long. Youtube is worthless. Ok here are the videos on youtube so they are very easy to play. I am most proud of Nergal gameplay-wise. In Nergal,…
For now you'll get quite different results between Unity5 and Designer for various reasons: - in U5 the default PBR shader uses a blinn-phong brdf, we use GGX. Both have a very different specular response. For the same smoothness/glossiness value in both applications, the result will be very different simply because the…
Hi guys, first time here so I'm not sure if this is the right place to post my question and I hope there are plenty of Handpaint artists around here that can give me some nice tips to improve myself. Anyway, back to the topic. I've been texturing a sculpt I made in zbrush and retopo in blender with 3D coat (I've seen…
Hi there again - well, by "inside out" I don't mean to say that one should do a layered anatomy study in sculpt or anything of the sort. What I am saying is, if you were to work on your portraiture skills in 2d for a while (absorbing what makes a face ... a face), then your ability to make likeness sculpts will grow…
