Worked further on the trees and the landscape today - Didn't help that Unreal was crashing every time I built, causing undue panic and stress. Turns out there was something untowards with the grass foliage, and a simple delete and replace fixed that right up.
Ryan, you are doing a wonderful thing here, dont stress the timescales mister, we can all sit tight till you say its ready.....thanks again everyone involved for doing this....its going to be fantastic :D
if hard surface object is mostly rectangular shapes and cylinders I don't do hi res models at all . it's a waste of time. Splitting to parts and re-naming is a big part of it too. I use either rounding (bevel) shader in offline renderer to bake hard edge roundings into a normal map or rather just a substance that edge…
After several false starts with the fuselage this is the current progress... However, I have made some more recent changes by building in the panel work and re-working the cockpit. There are some super shonky bits still but it's something. Any Critiques would be awesome. After all the stress this is causing I'm starting to…
yeh... the pc version comes out at the end of may... and i am sure it'll come out and there will be patches right away. I am not aware of any stress tests on their severs and what not. But yea! i'll play with ya on the 360 for sure. lets just hope the 360 is the better of the 2 consoles. :)
This past week has been a hell for me. I've got a potentially well paid assignment and it involved a new 3d package to learn + tons of other things. Thus I'm totally stressed out and still crunching. Will probably finish this after things stabilize but no way I'm getting it done to the deadline.
Here's a little update on the highpoly model. Im learning ALOT doing this. So far it's been fun and very stressful lol Still alot to do. P.S. I used the default material, I just added 60 spec and 60 gloss to see if there's any errors in my highpoly :D
hands down, because this way you rotate the handjoint 90° to forwards and 90° to be backwards, upwards is usually a much more rare case. so overall its just less stress on the geo/rig and deforms better. with nowadays rigs and amount of polies its less of an issue than it used to be tho
My bad, it's " aruarian dance - by nujabes " So... I decided to send the portfolio to some studios like it is now, was it a good idea Or should have I waited for a few more things to retouche? Is it professional enough ? I won't lie, i feel kinda stressed to think that it might not be good enough.
I'll try out some shading on the text I have now and give it a look, but will hopefully have a custom font done at some point. Yeah I've really been stressing for depth, hopefully be able to get another artist or two in the future; two heads are greater then one. Thanks for the examples.
