Hey man, lookin' sharp!! I can't speak much on the industry side of things so I won't be much help on that end. Really the only comment I can make is maybe consider moving the helmet guy up one image. I think it shows off your modeling skills and definitely has some complexity to it. I feel like having the helmet come…
A lot of time since the last update... I´ve lost so many days trying to rig the character before uving and so and well...i´m not a rigger and the last rig i made was when i was a student in the early 2014´s so... time lost, sigh. The current state is: almost done with the high poly, half retopo(body/clothes and some…
I decided to practice my modelling by creating a fan art piece of McCree's Blackwatch skin from Overwatch. I've attached some images of the process. I woulld love some comments and feedback and ways I could improve my workflow, hope you like it! General workflow: 1. Blockout in Blender 2. High poly in Zbrush 3. Lowpoly…
Hi ! I started recently this animation. I wanted to try an animation with extreme poses (I have in mind the style of Overwatch / League of Legends). I've always been curious of this style and wanted to try to do one. So here is the first GIF in step motion (after maya decided to freeze and lose all my work. I definitely…
Here's the process for the Robot Bird. I started out influensed by the standard stylized games you can imagine. The cleanliness of Overwatch and even Heroes of the Storm. I start in greyscale and move on to defining roughness and materials. I was pretty happy at this point but when I got into color it kind of fell apart:…
This is the first challenge I'm participating in, hoping to improve and learn new techniques! Here's where I'm at so far with the highpoly sculpt before I retopo, started on some smaller forms but still blocking out a few things. I think the head might be just a little bit too large, and the gun proportions aren't correct…
Hey again! I've got everything in engine and rendered out now! It's been a really fun project overall and I've really loved this experience. This is the first time in a while that I've been excited to keep working on a project, every day I've wondered what else I could do to improve it or change about it. As part of the…
Looks pretty good, but you could push this over the top by re-aranging your assets on the cherry blossom tree. Yours looks a bit unnatural and artificial as the blossoms all point up. I'd study up a bit more on the structure of these trees and I'd also see if you can soften it somehow, the harsh shadows are not doing the…
@Brian Thanks for your reply :) I think I'll try that. At work I usually like to do a few things at a time. Either I can switch between programs and have a fresh look on it or work on something new each day. I'll consider planning on a couple small projects. @gfelton Your advice definitely helps. I appreciate the thought…
Hi everyone! I'm hoping to some day find work in the games industry and after a little while working I'm happy to have finished my first full character asset. After some time spent practicing my fundamentals I wanted to create something to benchmark all of my skills up to this point so I could learn my weak points and what…
