hey, is it possible to make a wild chase kinda scene. was thinking of an old man chasing after an alien in an oldpersonmobile, with a stick; where the alien in turn is terrifiedly running away, shooting behind himself with a gun. would that be possible, or would it have to be a face to face kinda scene..? thanks;)
@throttlekitty I tried all of your suggestions, but nothing improved. Also discovered a new bug 1) Activating Wireframe on Shaded also does not work if in other viewports that are not perspective. I also tried exporting my mesh and into a new scene, and it's the same problem as the previous scene.
Heres two renders as updates. Scene is at 50k tris and still in 3ds max. soon as I'm done with the major architectural assets I'll start moving this scene into UDK. At the moment, mostly the roof and some wall pieces needs more work both mesh and texture wise.
i agree i think the scene is getting washed out by the blue light or post processing. i think if you tone that back and focus on making more of a contrast between warm and cool lighting it will make the scene feel more alive, even tho it is a Morgue :P
I really like the progress you are making Jim. However, you should be blocking out your scene in what ever engine you decided to use, UDK for example. That way you aren't placing your scene twice. Keep up the good work man!
I like the portfolio. Work is great. My main crit is the video on the left at the first page isn't needed. Just put that with that work page. The windmill scene could use some texture work. The scene itself is nice and the modeling is solid. The textures are missing a good polishing.
You can use the Scene Explorer and add the Faces column. If you want to add the verts column run this script then Verts will show up in the column picker. ( --ADD CUSTOM PROPERTIES TO SCENE EXPLORER fn getVertCount theNode = ( (GetTriMeshFaceCount theNode)[2] ) SceneExplorerManager.addReadOnlyProperty "Verts" getVertCount
)
Woops, my bad, this should work: http://makersplace.com/ I've had a few emails from them but I hadn't heard of people selling game engine scenes as artwork before, also the site seems to be focused around 2D design. Has anyone sold their scenes?
Semi-Finished shots of my unreal scene "The Infernal Keep." I created all of the assets for the scene except the floor and wall textures from substance source, and the particle systems from the Infinity Blade pack. More on my artstation here https://www.artstation.com/artwork/LweNP
Here's the link to the scene file: http://rapidshare.com/files/385893441/Grass_project.max.html I included a grass object called "Sample" in the scene, made exactly like the one scattered on the plane, so you can see how its made. btw: very grateful for your help.
