My advice to you would be to stop and think. You do not understand properly the concept of high-poly modelling, and you admit yourself you are not confident on texturing. Do you really think that this is a skill set that allows you to work on a portfolio? Browse polycount, watch some tutorials, make a whole bunch of models…
You've got some insane proportion issues' just looking at the building on the left corner. Everything is a different size from the photo. After a second view You need to rethink the whole scale of your objects you've got floors smaller than the size with windows almost the size of the floor. Stop the modelling and spend…
In the side view the legs have no shape - pull those verts around a bit. In the front view the elbows are a little thin. The suspenders are thinner at the bootm than at the top - you might want to revisit your texture or your UV maps. Te texture where the shirt goes intot he trousers - it just stops. paint in a few…
CRT is preferred?? yes I can see how that would take up less desk space. Space isn't the issue, the desk is sloped and the stopping wire at the end won't hold an LCD with more than 1/3rd of its foot still on the desk. Hm, I just found a 19" CRT for 150€, half the price of the cheapest 19" LCDs. Samtron 98PDF.
ok decided to stop being lazy and just go back into max and fix up the base mesh. do you think ill need to add in anything else that might cause the same problem later? i thought i could get away with just the rough shapes like that and do the rest in zbrush, do you think that will work out ok? thanks, Daniel
Yeah, I originally missed that it was a PDF, because I was distracted by Alex Jones waging a war with his erection. He was going on about photoshop, and I thought initially that the other guy was making layers from selections in photoshop. Then I had to stop the video, because I couldn't take anymore of the interruptions…
Stop! Don't download it! This is a coded drug for creative minds. Highly adictive and pure endless fun. And a tiny but very motivated community exploring all possibilities from Water paint - oil paint up to something close to 2,5 D painting/sculpting...almost. If some virus allert is trying to take your fun - I can't…
Thanks for stopping by, guys! Valandar: So far it's only for iOS. Originally we're going to make the Android version too but I dunno if that's still the case. jmt: Good point lol! I was just following the names on the tracking sheet. I guess they didn't realize that either when they made the list. P.S. Are the pictures too…
I'd hate to see you stop so close of having an excellent piece here.. the difference between an ok piece and a excellent piece is about 10% more work. I'm really digging vig's crit.. don't be afraid to also think about different atmosphere and times of day.. try a night time too would pop alot better. here's my take.. :D
New dev diary up! This one mainly about sound, but it features awesome stop-motion video from when we moved into our new office. Greentooth front & centre! Also look out for the spinning box, the rapid fight scene, the chair train and the man who stands completely still for 20 minutes solid. http://www.brinkthegame.com/ -…
