Added a beam and some tapestry style curtains. Been trying to play with SSS (transmission mask only) + opacity mask to get a good effect, anyone got hints?
Ah, ramp lighting. is that basically using gradient ramp to adjust the tones of shadows? (like photoshop's gradient map) that's a pretty nice approximation of SSS minus the actual translucency.

Hey, I experience awful blender performance when switch to edit mode even with low to mid poly models (50k etc.). Is there a magic button in the settings that i missed to enable? I got rtx 4080 with i9 14900 and whatever ssd and ram that is best.
