the old look/color is very retro, i didn't like it when i was a child, black is the future for me (that color is the perfect match), and i like this one. I just hope to watch a remake as good as Dredd. Fire ball? huh yes...
I've been waiting for this for a long time, really looking forward to it . I actually like the lead character, understaded in terms of asthetic but instantly recognisable and well executed. I like the retro-futuristic suit the chick wears, very cool. Great stuff
Very nice! I'm a fan of the sci-fi/retro blend you have going on. It makes me think of Malaveldt's vehicle concepts. Is the missile truck meant to be in the style of Bionic Commando: Rearmed? It's mostly the bright colors that make me think so.
cool stuff! As a side note, I stopped using the wide version because it was actually too wide... Needs just an inch of black on each side in my opinion. No biggie though, I like the default. A retro polycount skin would be fun :)
Here's a thought. Why cant they return to the original design? With like 100 poly characters and triangle tits etc but with next gen physics, lighting, etc. Like minecraft but more "dynamic".... I'd love it! Retro is the new future tbh...
Also disagree. While I se what your trying to get at, its not actually the point, as it were. A classic example of this is playing a retro game at 1080p. Good art is good art and will show at any resolution. Bad art however...
Certainly a lot of nice legion blades on here. I'm taking this opportunity to finally learn zbrush, and make a retro-shaped gyro missile. Zbrush confuses the hell outta me. I'm explaining away my drawover on my dead mouse.
Hi guys! I'm working on a retro midcore mobile strategy game called Summerwind. It's done by using NES color palette of 64 colors. You can follow me on Twitter @samiliukka and the game company @HeavyweightRex. The game will be published in 2016.
I get the feeling "cult" has become another marketing term these days. Every retro styled crap is "cult". All the kiddos who weren't around in the C64 era are probably easily fooled by this. No wonder they think old games are crap ;)
