Yup and go steal a few games while your at it. Smooth. neeter: just learn to assemble the stuff yourself. a retard could do it these days. Its like fitting lego together. The harder part is choosing good components which you seem to have done.
I try to stick to racing and platform games with my 2 sons (2.5 & 4.5 years). There are enough fun games that don't involve much violence or at least realistic looking violence. These days Lego Star Wars II co-op rules my Xbox.
Hey guys, just as many Ill be posting things here for crits and progression to hopefully improve a notch. current project, a sci-fi Egyptian themed environment (ZbrushGuy and boxdog are placeholders) assets Older works miniature isle Minecraft styled assignment Lego jeep DOTA2 ish character assignment model
okay worked out pretty well I went for a simple material with no gloss / spec needed (kaplas pieces, it's like jenga) idk if this workflow is common over here but it's a pretty cool discovery to me here is the ingame result i'll give a go to a lego material too
Holy shit, its amazing! How did you divide the assets? Do you have like a lot of building blocks all set up and just put this together as legos? Im really looking forward for more updates! :D Keep up the amazing work!
Nice level model! I want to build some lego cars now. :D I'm really interested how your render of the pod base concept will turn out. I like the green and metallic colors very much. The lighting is very important in that particular design.
I actually made a tutorial on how to do it with one shader... I was going for something like the Lego movies... In my rig, I can control the mouth expression AND both eyes separately using only one shader... :) https://youtu.be/mamEj9TdkYU
Could be something as simple (or maybe not so simple) as diagonal blocks (like ramps). Could make it look more like legos than minecraft that way. Especially if the world were able to generate those blocks into the landscape. But again, maybe that's not so simple.
[ QUOTE ] Smash Bros Melee [/ QUOTE ] and Rogue Squadron 3, Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance (corny and gauntlety fun), Timesplitters 2, Lego Star Wars, Kirby's Air Ride, Amazing Island (lol aggravating) and some others I forgot
Have you ever played Lego Stunt Rally or Trackmania? Could be fun to try and build a game like that in UDK with tilesets like the above. Basically it uses tiles like you've made but includes an editor which allows players to build their own tracks using them. Inspirational!
