ha, well the real question is who are you...my screen name is obvious heh, its Darcy. anyhow, added some more details to both, and baked in some lighting on the girl... would love some crits, thanks all
I think the engine was all spline-based which explained (god knows why?) the screen resolution had to be kept low. But I think it was antialised anyways? Articles and reviews sayed it was revolutionnary back in these days. I liked the demo!
Dunno what your rules are on dead threads... but I didn't want to make a new thread: I will post some wires soon, I print screened some wires but forgot to paste em before i cut again .
[ QUOTE ] You might be overly critical of the process, try to look at your character from average distance and see if you notice it. Nothing holds up to having something one inch in length filling a 1600x1200 screen [/ QUOTE ] Agreed.
I found out that when you alt-tab to a different screen while photoshop is still loading, the pressure sensitivity is lost. Hence my comment above: load photshop without switching to other programs untill it is done loading.
Eh I like this one!! A low poly model and no normal map here ^_^!! Did you try to export it on PSP? or maybe only view a screen of your character on PSP? This is a very interesting work! I want try it too!
maxview seems nice but it does lack an image browser, right? at least i can't seem to find one. happy with xnview otherwise which however acts a little funky in my dual screen setups and isn't the fastest, unfortunately.
Is it possible to hook something up similar to an image plane that has a gradient on it so the gradient always fits the background. Basically a screen space gradient for mental ray, the environment on the camera doesn't accept maps and image plans don't seem to render.
