It doesn't surprise me that Jon Jones called it and it seems to make sense for the industry to go that way given the soon to be crazy demands when it comes to art assets. I'm not sure how to best word it, i think it to be stranger that you would have a disconnect between your art and the project it was associated with than…
I have a dangling lamp. It's skinned and rigged with bones. I imported it as a skeletal mesh into UDK. I created a physics asset it for it and also a physical material. I want the object to sway back and forth subtlety. I cant seem to be able to do it though. This has been driving me crazy. :poly127:
Can someone explain if this is possible and if so how to set it up? i want to have a physics simulation interact with an animated object but i cant see any way to get the animated object into reactor without either giving it 0 mass and losing the animation or giving it mass and having reactor override the animation? any…
Foundry 42 is looking to build an in house weapons team - this is the dream job for many - grass roots, high quality, scifi realism - what more could you want as an artist. http://cloudimperiumgames.com/jobs/158-Weapon-Artist Looking for a range of experiences - the only caveat is you must be highly talented and motivated.
The preview of the texturemap looks pretty wonky. The UVs seem all stretched and crammed onto the very top 5% of the texture map. You'll also want to make sure the UVs aren't extending past (or even touching) the 0:1 range.

True, but then I loose all the work in regards to actually making the gillie as a mesh... I actually want to find an efficient way to bake this guy, to retain all this nice detail and this depth that you cant get by just placing photos on the mesh.
Slow is slow Obsessive will spend all AVAILABLE time trying to perfect something and hate the fact that they cant perfect what they want too. But when it comes to deadlines they will still get done what they need too. If they didnt, then they would just be slow.

Ohh my bad, I didn't realize you wanted to keep the color info. Disregard what I said. *edit*: Granted, you COULD try exporting the vert colors with the OBJ and reimport. Who knows, maybe it'll fix it.
