hey, done some tweaking and adding some stuff to here, new hat and a pair of gloves to protect her from the hot flamethrower etc.. also started to block out some colors.. will start to make the lowpoly tomorrow i think.. saw now that the ankle looks a bit wierd in the renders.. will look at that..

You're arguments are just kind of silly: let's say they they put a dog turd with a bowler hat as the number one game creator of all time. Just because I said it didn't mean they did. It sounds like you watched the first 10 seconds of the video, saw Cliffy B. in the montage and raged.
Looks cool! I think you could have stuck his backpack out a bit further, or increased the field of view of the camera. There is a curve to the head/hat which I think you missed, and I think you could reduce the roughness of the eyes. Other than that, looks awesome!
Amazing stuff, been following your progress for a while and have to agree with other you've made amazing progress and documented it well for the whole community to learn from. Hats off for that! Inspires me to try and work harder to finish my scene. All this stuff goes to my inspirational folder!
Max (and maya) does not support alpha sorting very well in the slightest, so really, no matter what you do, you are likely to get crazy errors like this in the viewport. Max basically doesn't know what to render on top of hat when alpha is involved. its a pain in the arse.
Got a job last month so I was unable to actually finish anything I started for the July comp. Determined to finish at least something this month so I knocked out this hat for Bristleback last night. Textures are in dire need of a rework but I'm happy enough with the low poly.

Still wip, getting out of comfort zone with this one for texturing. Had to redo UVs to make more continuous islands and fix some harsh angles that were bothering me.
