Re: Changing spline order for cross sections?
The edit spline menu is rats nest of buttons... Click the spline knot/vert you want to be #1 and click "make first". If you need to reverse the order, select the spline in spline sub-object mode and click "reverse". If you need more knots/verts use refine to click/add them to your spline. Need less, just delete them. -

I had a problem with the scrolling just last month. It occured in Internet Explorer only. I thought the buttons were stuck, but the pen and tablet worked fine in Photoshop which was the other application I had open. Not sure how it happened, but it eventually went back to normal after swapping back and forth between… -

For future reference, the window that you post threads in has an icon for adding images. You just put these addresses you have here into the pop up window when you press the button. Took me awhile to figure it out but it's easier for us to view the images if they are up showing on the thread. As for the images themselves.… -

Well, thats the thing... I don't know what I did! I drew the bones, and I used to use milkshape so I was used to selecting the vertices then clicking assign, except there is no button like that. In other words, I dunno how to attach bones. Any really basic tutorial for xsi would help! I couldn't find one... -

Oh, its a W and a H, I feel dense, wait no, its a bad logo that didn't communicate that well. I'm still not behind it but if you're going to use the idea, replace the color with pics of your work, and have the shapes be buttons to the different galleries. No, not a meshsmooth modifier, a smooth modifier. Then just click the "1" button in that panel of numbers in the Smooth modifier rollout. If you look at the silhouette of your object in mudbox and in max, you'll see it's exactly the same - also if you right-click in the viewport in Mudbox you can change the rendering style… -

Yeah, I get that sometimes when using the "Best Fit" button in conjunction with Planar Map, it just throws some of the verts way off into W space for no good reason. Kind of annoying (although worth noting that you can still select it in Face mode). I usually just end up re-mapping the face on X, Y or Z and that fixes it. -

Hey, this is a little off topic but OP never came back anyway so... Turns out maya has an auto-lodder too. I am not using it to verify it's usefulness, but it's also got a one button group setup too, so if you are doing manual LOD's you can still easily set it up for export to unity. -

A lip is generally helpful in these cases. Making the floaters a bit thicker could help as well. One other thing, have you pressed the bake button? What you see in the viewport while editing the cage or other features is a quick preview, so you may not be seeing the final quality rendered bake until your press bake.
