Any tips or techniques anyone can share about how to unwrap this Sofa? I did a search and saw a thread that showed kind of what I should do, but unfortunately I went from high poly to low poly and I can't think of an efficient way to get rid of the bumps on the back of the couch. :( The High Poly
@MarcSaunier - thank you! It is quite difficult to capture the lighting and mood I am after, but getting closer. I haven't posted in ages - been a pretty rough couple of weeks I must say. However, things are coming together a bit more now. On to the sofa and chairs next I think
Summer is coming but we have to stay at home, work from home.. because of COVID-19. No worries, we still can enjoy our vacation at home with some beautiful scenery. We would like to invite you to spend your time on our rendered sofa by a pool.
Yeah by all means, veg out on the sofa, walk the cat or take a cookery class but fomenting a habit of rounding off something end to end sooner rather than later, would be an attribute I'd willingly sell my soul for a chance too time travel and attain as one's much younger self.
The problem isn't so much about a single mesh but about a process. Over time, trying to improve, I've actually gotten worse in terms of topology. I used to model much better, even if I wasn't improving. https://www.artstation.com/andrea_g Here's what's left because I deleted everything out of frustration over time. ;( The…
The soda cans you have in your picture look nothing like first generation soda cans. Even by the early 50's the two largest soda company's, Pepsi and Coca Cola were resistant to cans. Edit: but the scene is looking great otherwise Wes :)
danr, you should get freeview mate. Beeb3 is a good watch, the structuring takes a little getting used to, but it's cracking out good stuff non the less. Sunday afternoon TV on 4 always got my vote. You couldn't prise me off the sofa for love or money.
Very good texturing so far! In some references they show the carpet more desaturated and worn out. Aside from put more props like the sofas, chimmey, wall pictures pictures and so on... looks good to me, maybe a little too much occlusion for the "Neville Cactus" you show in the first screenshot
I really like, you put in some great texture work, nice job! Everything looks great except if I was just looking at it without being told what it is, I wouldn't know what it was. It looks like a cool beat up piece of machinery, but a soda machine, I don't see it at first. I didn't get that it was a soda can at first. It…
Hi ;) And thanks for the comments. Used to Max and Maya I just couldn't think my way through the UI made out of texts, and get the logic of many tools. But I got used to it faster than I thought, modeling became surprisingly fast and the UI, if not nicely designed, is damn efficient for a Touch app. The biggest challenge…
