I noticed in the original post that converting UV face selection to edit poly was easy, but edge conversion is something more difficult. Well i'm newish to max and I need to know how to convert Uv face selection to editable poly. Appreciate any help. thanks guys
Had mine out a few years back as well. Just make sure you take a few days off as your face can swell from the tooth removal - your face ends up looking like Agent Smith's from the Matrix when he morphs.
Love the overall design but somethin really bugs me about her face, eyes to be precise. On close up her face is quite, yet on full body shot it looks creepy; maybe try to pronounce eyelashes more, add tearline to blend eyes in and rework eye shader?
Thanks a lot Rodgon and CybranM!!! CybranM, you're actually almost right bro haha the character is actually 40.376 2x Bionic hands 11.455 Body+face 14.918 and Hair 2.548. The body with the face I counted with teeth and tonge on. I forgot to update that..my bad!! hahaha
I like the face, but I'm thinking that the facial hair is lacking in some way. Try adding more detail, similar to what you did with the face. As it sits now it looks like a different style of modeling, but thats just my .02 Keep up the good work :D
Does anyone know Valve's stand on covering a hero's face that isn't usually covered by default (like adding a mask, veil, kerchief etc)? I'm working on a Medusa headpiece, and she has a tattered default veil... If I wanted to cover or partially cover her face, is that a no-no? Cheers.
i really like the face, really cute face XD and i agree w/ silvershrimp about the folds, yea reference is king but i really like your interpretation of the backside, very different and unique! me gusta!! haha anyway.. good job!! good luck with the internship!!
heya been a few days since last update. uberren i took the sharpness thing into consideration, so i looked at some anatomy photos and began softening and improving the forms of the face and body. I'm still working on the face, palm of the hand, feet area and the back a little.
If I understand your question correctly, what youll want to do is: enter edit mode, select the faces that you want to flip, and press Ctril+Shift+F to flip the triangle edges. You can also find this command in edit mode under the Mesh->Faces menu.
Not a big update, but a lot of work on the face. Still plenty more to do. I figure I can do the armor/clothes quickly, so I put my freetime into the face as it's the most difficult part for me. Currently sitting at 1710 triangles. http://chrisholden.net/ladygray5.jpg
