He's just that that after you extrude the edges of your sphere to make the planes, you an delete the faces of the original sphere (Since they'd be inside the skull anyway). Though if you're just making a furry ball you might want to keep the original faces instead.
Pain - nothing worse than being quoted wrongly, you missed the smiley face out as my post a was a little tongue and cheek although I do actually use the smudge tool a lot. edit : hmm the smiley face doesn't get quoted odd
I'm not an expert, but usually I try to have complete loops around the face. - Each eye got a loop. - A loop around both eyes. - Mouth got a loop. - Mouth and nose got a loop. - Face got a loop. - Nostril loop depends on poly budget
This is pretty solid. Her face could have been more feminine and her body looks rather masculine but I suppose it matches the concept rather well. I think you could have mirrored her whole body and her face from the looks of it.
i'm baking normal map... with or without the ao diffuse it looks the same... actually just the ao looks ok no seams, but when i enable the normal the seams appear... yes i have offset'ed the symmetrical faces. only the selected faces are in the main uv space...
Ok, so I lied about that other one being the last little update. So what, you wanna fight about it? lol Gave the face some more love inside of Toolbag2. And finally got the face visor glass thing to look right.
@Malcom: The UVs are not mirrored and not overlapping. @Mm: The Maya derivates settings were off, but when enabled I'm still getting the same result. The mesh is 100% facing the right direction, I've reset the normals and tested with Unlock Normals, Average Normals, Set to Face and Conform.
I think you're looking for the Cut Faces Tool? There's a way to slice the object along an angle but I forget how. Anywho, Edit Poly > Cut Faces should get the job done. You could try Booleans but I'm pretty positive that will make a mess.
This thread was sparked by a quote from Peter Moore when talking about The Worst Company in America Poll. This is what he said In the past year, we have received thousands of emails and postcards protesting against EA for allowing players to create LGBT characters in our games. This week, were seeing posts on…
Wow you used a 2048x2048 for a low poly model...don't you think it's a waste of space? I think you can use a 1024x1024 with no problems in resolution in this case. Are you going to model a face for learn face rigging or you will modify this one?
