This game ate 4 hours of my life last night. Amazing game. Kinda wish I didn't play through all of the tutorials and challenge maps cause now I know about all of the ridiculously awesome power-ups before I actually find them in the missions. That fucking helmet is badass.
The movie was balls out FUN!!! I cheered, hooted and hollared the whole time, and a smile never left my face. It was pure escapism. I love movies like this. Superman felt too long, but this movie had me enjoying it till the end. Go Go Depp power! The Jamaican woman was my favorate.
Yeah, I put a scalar param so it's available to all instances. But one of the things I should have done was add another to adjust the tightness of the spec (a scalar to the Spec Power) as well. I also could have made it so I can dull the spec map, but at that point can do that in PS.
Honestly i wouldn't even bother to do any 3d work with a laptop. I need my two monitors, a good cpu and a good graphics card. And a laptop isn't good at any of these. You have usually a tiny screen, and a weak cpu and gpu because of the power they need. But when it really must be a laptop, then simply search for a gamer…
Just wanted to share a project I just finished. It was suppose to be for the character contest on here but I was without power for several days due to Hurricane Matthew so that messed me up a bit. But I still wanted to finish her and at least present her. I'll leave the link to see the Marmoset Viewer as well. Hope…
Basic photoshop tiled painting request similar to corel paints seamless paint mode. GO HERE AND YELL IT OUT LOUD I feel like this page needs alot more people to go on there and like it.. or comment or w/e. Maybe with the power of text through the interwebs we can finally see a long awaited feature hit photoshop. It…
Just blew my power supply (working on a laptop) so i figured i'd post a little update seeing as i might be gone for a week or two. Depending on how long it takes get a new unit. And yes, I know the edge consistency is terrible between the slide and the grip/frame. :D Uploaded with ImageShack.us
Don't make it modular and power of 2. If it doesn't fit a design, just don't do it. It is no holy grail to split everything in the way it must fit to the grid. Split in the way it is convinient and fast to work with. I think that advice about modularity from first post should be really removed. It brings more confusion…
If you want to get that rough rock look and don't want to pay for oren nayar then a half lambert with a diffuse power can be pretty close. Or adding a subtle fresnel to the diffuse calculation could be good. I noticed a lot of the Darksiders breakable stone urns have a little fresnel that helps soften them and fit in with…
Try not to rely on a skylight system, your putting too much faith in achieving a good result on something with little control. Mental Ray can be just as powerful as any other render engine with the right results, instead try using a dome light to evoke light in the entire scene, and then directional lights coming in from…
