This post is from Epic Staff is where I first heard about it. https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/95423/lightmass-with-bad-shadow.html It's really annoying it's not documented anywhere.
We have one at work. Haven't done a whole lot with it, but tried out the Epic Citadel roller coaster demo. But yes, calibrate it first, and then go to town.
For those interested ,enjoy. https://youtu.be/GqsDwASsGN8 Yea that final trailer from earlier this month was more bat focused then the others, Loving these epic clips though.
Epic is a very Max heavy shop. The animators use Maya of course, and there are some artists who use Modo (I use it partially) ... but, yeah, mostly Max.
Commander_keen's ubER paint over hits the nail on the head when I talk about contrast. Use the shadows to create the contrast, to give it a more epic feel.
Haha thanks :) Cant tell in those pics very well, but its epicness is enhanced with dwarf braids. cool thing is, with these I'm legally permitted to carry an axe :)
Hi guys im new to UDK and decided to use the template that epic provides, but i cant seem to get a grid to show in perspective view like it does in ortho. Any idea how? Thanks
