Thanks for the help. I'll give you this link ( [ame=" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1KkJ79o3H7M"]Turntable and Hardsurface with Blender/Zbrush - YouTube[/ame] ) in return. Interesting stuff. Going for another model.
with all due respect, if you feel discouraged or bothered by having to pay attention to detail, you're going to have to change your attitude entirely. Otherwhise, hardsurface will do your head in, comrade.
Nice work. May I ask, did you subd modeled everything or did you hardsurface sculpted some of the more weird parts? (thinking of the front part of the main body) Cheers!
I was wondering if there is a way to make a straight line in painter since im doing alot hardsurfaces. but keep having to go to photoshop to make a straight lines. preferably a hotkey not a brush :)
yep sounds perfeclty like the planar cut and all the other hardsurface brushes that are new, there are quite a lot of them, so jut play around with that
In blender I just use hardops to create bevels to achieve the effect you're talking about. Subdivision is usually not a good idea with hardsurface props.
Polycount's Weekly Hardsurface Challenge is an invaluable source of modeling inspiration and shapes for practice. Do a dozen or two of them and you'll be a better modeler in no time.
