OK don't touch it with a 60ft pole :-) I'm now getting out of RAM error messages in photoshop, and worse still, I can no longer drag an image from Perforce into Photoshop. Uninstalling! -

Depends what you want/need. I just got my wife a Gateway for $600. Dual core Intel, and an ultra-brite screen. It works great for her and looks great. The battery life is also supposed to be really good on it. She hasn't ran it dead yet, so I don't know how long it will actually last. According to CNet, it will go 4 hours.… -

Yeah, I put one of those 60mm to 80mm fan adapters on my family's computer because I was too lazy to fix the computer's airflow problems the correct way. It worked like a charm (loud as hell, but you can get quieter case fans). -

runs like shit takes too much space 2 hour install, 600 mg patch followed by a 1 gig patch., just to get 5 fps, 35 gig install, wtf! Guess I'll load it on my PC next week and see how it goes. This laptop handles all other games pretty well. :/ -

Budgets will always be there, and i'm agree with you, they matter a lot. But just wanted to say that with the hardware we have (not all ppl) we have better and better budgets to get nicer things.
