Started work on the high poly model, I have started off by modelling the nose of the car. For the high poly I am using the double turbo smooth method: one modifier smoothing by smoothing groups and the other just using 2 iterations.
Instead of making those a hard edge like that you could bevel it and have something more like \_/ at the meeting of those two faces, and it would give you slightly less bend. But what Neox said is right, you'll want to modify the geo.
Thanks for the feedback guys. So i dont ever want to collapse the stack? What should I do then in regard to any unwanted edge loops that are added as a result of turosmooth that dont affect the silhouette? Delete them via Edit Poly modifier?
AFAIK, Max displays the Objects Color in the UV Wireframe, to make i easier to distiguish betwenn different Objects when using one Unwrap Modifier for multiple objects (since Max2010 methinks). If changing that doesn't work, ther might be an option in the 'Options' ;)
Some more update. I worked more on curves and straights, added thickness to the hairs, modified the face a bit more. I am not giving a working eye because I am doing some experiments and she will get them in the low poly version.
In Max: Freeze Transformation is called Reset X Forms. You can find it in the Utility Panel. Delete History is Collapse Stack. Basically just making sure there are no modifiers on the model. I've never used Keyshot, sorry I can't be more help.
Thank you 9thKnight! I made the leather wrapping by masking a cylinder with radial symmetry and making an extraction with just a little bit of thickness. Then I duplicate it and apply a Twist modifier and play with it from there until am in the ballpark of what I am looking for.
make a more simple shape for your ropes with the edge loops like this. then when you smooth, after skinning with a smooth modifier or by pressing 3 it will look better. its important to use Dual quaternion as the skinning method to avoid the tube collapsing at the joint.
Just some updates The Flower Dragon is a rare member of the Mantidae Family closely related to the Mantis. They live in large flowers and spend most of the day waiting for prey. They cut the stigma of the flower off with their back feet and then use the modified antenna to lure prey in.
tkfxity, I think you have some normals trouble on your plates. (dark gradient on them) Try to chamfer each edges or modify the vertex normals ( I don't know if you can do the second option in Blender ) sybrix: of course ;)
