Canada Day! Had the day off work and didnt have any commitments so I was able to finish sculpting the body and head. Shrunk the head, looks a million times better. Thanks Lotet! Redid the teeth for a 3rd time, pretty happy with this. I might go over and sculpt them out a bit more so they look less stylized. Reworked the…
I'm planning to extract her leotard from the body mesh once I'm completely satisfied with the anatomy, and I'd rather not play around too much with the shapes before I do that. Still, I'm aiming to recreate a specific stylized look, and I modelled her breasts the way I did with that in mind, and I'm a bit wary of adding…
Did some sculpting for the first time. Spent the whole day working on this new character. And then BOOM, blenders multires modifier glitched out and I lost all of the sculpt data. I'll be saving to different files next time I sculpt :/ Anyways, I'd love to get some crits on the proportions and etc before I start sculpting…
They definately have some character! Case the Camels legs are way too thick - i think you could exagerate them to be quite skinny to get a good stylized feel. Lt. Buzzards wings needs some definition. Maybe a Similar shading to the feathers around his neck. - just to pop out those wings! Armordillos's texture could use…
Here is an update. I need critique on this. I need to know about what you think regarding the design. I don't do an awful lot of cartoony/stylized art so I need to know how I'm doing. Also thanks for the compliments but is it really an interesting character? Perhaps I should just skip doing my own characters and do stuff…
I should have mentioned. I am into high end visuals and realism/hyper realism. I use to be really fascinated by GPU architecture since the G80 back in the day and it kind of stuck. Things like Ethan Carter, Star Citizen, Gears of War and Crysis are my aim and style. Although it is outside of my scope, I am simply curious…
The render looks really cool, and I love the attitude of the piece, but I have to agree on the surface confusion and the lack of mid frequency form. At first glance it didn't really catch me, I had to really look at it to appreciate the effort you put in - I don't think it would take too much to really push this and have…
I very like the design. As you mention that you want to make the hip big. But I think it can even be bigger. Just a thought. I have a picture in my mind that if it goes extreme and I do agreed that it'll look very iconic and stylized. About the helm. You may try adding similar treatment as you did to the suit especially…
Hi! I dug through Artstation and found some interesting concepts for the stylized/handpainted challenge: https://www.artstation.com/artwork/OW5Bw https://www.artstation.com/artwork/q5bdN https://www.artstation.com/artwork/rxZbO https://www.artstation.com/artwork/RW9BO https://www.artstation.com/artwork/6VN15…
I think you could benefit from using some photos in your textures to push the realism, or push the hand painted look more. You are sitting in this weird spot between stylized textures and realistic textures, but you should push it one way or another. The lighting in both the day and night sequence could benefit from some…
