Thanks for the kind words guys:) We never up-resed the characters but we did add bump and spec maps to them... tricky painting when you think you've only got a pixel or 2 to bump out a nose:p Glad people are diggin the art book, I'll post up some of the IGC characters I did in about a week with a revamp of the SFN site:) -

You need to use ShaderFX: Create a ShaderFX material with the TextureMaps "Sampler / Filter" property set to "MIN_MAG_MIP_POINT" (This setting used to be broken in ShaderFX but apparently it got stealthily fixed in one of Max 2018s updates). i've had at least 3 different versions of Star Wars on VHS since the 80s and they've all had different soundtracks.
