Hi everybody, I'm working on a Beam Data particle system and I'm trying to lock the up axis so that the particles, instead of always facing the camera, are locked to always face upwards. Adding a Lock Axis module didn't help at all. Any ideas on how to make this work? Would be much appreciated.
Ahh the paintover is really good. Very valuable to see it rather than have it explained :D Totally agree with Jfletchers comments aswell. The whole things definitely could use some colour variations to help bring out the big shapes easier. Keep up the good work! Actually you know what you could do with the rocks? Just…
Update: He's definitely looking alot better now. I'm thinking I should maybe try and flatten some of the rocky faces, and maybe add some high frequency rocky detail on him. My only concern is that he's becoming a bit hard to read with the way I've sculpted the rock.
I have a model and whenever I lock or unlock the normals it changes them. This is an unwanted result. I need to lock them so that I can make edits to the mesh without breaking the normal map baked onto it. I need to move each vertex along it's normal to make the model 'fatter'.. when I do this, my seamless normal mapped…
Hi everyone! I am currently working on a small diorama-esque environment for a current uni assignment. The theme is a rocky forest. I decided to set it season-wise between autumn and winter. Since I mostly work towards handpainted 3D models, I wanted to try out a new Pipeline and learn PBR! Here is my current progress.…
Really nice scene work here. Everything feels cohesive and natural. Only critique I have really is in that first shot, having a lot of vertical-jutting sharp and craggy rock 50ft away from a bunch of rock wall that's rounded and smooth, feels a little off (kinda Final Fantasy-ish?). Since both rock structures are right at…
Darksiders styled art tends to be heavily diffuse-powered. Id say if you want to use a photo to get the gritty details, I'd get rid of a lot of the noise and focus on getting large, readable shapes. What your wall is missing is the "I'M A FUCKING WALL" that is present in darksiders walls. Your sculpt seems like it had very…
its not the texture but the form of the ground, I mean if its rock hard then you wouldn't have such smooth sandy flows, but a more jagged rocky crater I mean farming soil would give this http://www.supermanhomepage.com/images/superman-lives/set3.jpg imagine what hard rocky soil would do
Hey everyone! So it has been a while since I have posted anything, but work has progressed. I've got a couple of friends of mine helping out on the project now also, so things "SHOULD" progress more quickly now. I have finished modeling out the docking bay and it's interior, all that is left is to build out a simple…
