Thanks :) ...but we'll see how it turns out, plenty to do still. @Neox, I usually troll characterdesign.blogspot.com for ideas. I pick one or two drawings from an artist and go with it. I chose to do a crocodile/reptile/elements of an eel type of creature because of the drawing. I guess it's not really a reference, more… -

pie, always try and use ref. right now it looks like it's been dipped in paint. either push it more in that direction by adding bump detail with shadows and stuff, or grap some ref and redo it. pay attention to how the surface interacts with the light and the surrounding environment. it's all about reflections on something… -
