After working on other projects, I finally returned to finish this piece. I feel I am getting there, but before I put this in my Winter showreel, I wanted to show this to you guys! Feedback and critique would be awesome! Thanks!
After alot of doodling, noodled out this composition which I'm really leaning towards. Attempting to depict Olaf throwing himself against the Winters Claw tribe, not sure how to depict them, so i'm going with generic barbarian dudes.
So I tried the whole dynamic winter blending, all my ideas work. I can have it fade over into a different season with kismet now. Gotta think if I wanna make an obvious summer/autumn difference, might not be necessary.
When I was 6 or 7, I spent the entire winter (+ x-mas) in hospital, usually unconcious... I actually CAN remember it, and it was definitely no fun. Good luck with your daughter J - she's a beautiful child, and she truly deserves to live.
Same here. As a huge fan of the first two it felt like the 'voice' of Max Payne was missing. The (obviously intentional) juxtaposition of sunny Brazil and hawaiian shirts with the previous Payne's cold winters and warm trenchcoats seems to lack the oppressive undertone of the first two.
Hi everyone. I Worked on my scene further and added more assets to fill the scene and make it feel more alive. I also added an eerie spirit trying their best to leave the shrine! I also decided to go full on winter with this.
Remove the WIP section; only present finished pieces, and only your best pieces at that. The link to Winter Ember on the front page doesn't seem to work. Un-textured projects always feel unfinished, and shouldn't be included until they have been textured.
Man, I should read them again. They were good reading during those cold cold winter nights. The movies have been hit and miss with me, everything after nr 2 being miss :X But I'll give this a try :0
Hboybowen: yeah but I'm movin at the end of may... I'll be back next winter though :) gibson: You got me, it's drugs. My art was bland and lifeless until I discovered the wonders of jenkem. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2UsNbsjpuLc[/ame]
I think the logs being straight is ok if its a clean fireplace and hasnt been lit yet - spending winter in a cottage I always stack the logs as tidy as possible, they are only all over the place after the fire has been burning a while
