Hey guys! Just learnt about this concept art thread from TehSplatt and been looking at some of the artworks that everyone's posted - really like the doodle Ravenslayer :D Here's what I've been working on right now, just starting to detail it and clean up some. Critiques welcomed!
Moof, Poffington: Thanks guys :) Hawken: I feel your pain, hands are difficult to paint/draw ^^ Here's an update, worked on the hands for quite some time, took a couple of passes to get them right. It's difficult to balance the details out and not have the hands scream for attention. Might still work on them though.
Artwar 4 motivational Piece - its starting soon on cubebrush. I don't normally do 2D but i sketched this today, idk if this should be in working on also? couple hours. 1st dynamic form drawing took a bit to get right, still don't know if it is. Alternative view on my station linked below.
To Veritasx5: Hey I like the direction your drawing is headed. While I was looking at it I felt that her shoulders are a bit too big, her neck is too short, and her arms need to be lengthened. I feel your headed in the right direction, you just have to make that next step. Keep up the drawing.
Hi ! Love the idea to share daily work :) I participate to the March of Robots, this one is day 6. Its done in an hour, i try to work with a timer to stay focus. Im really learning painting on photoshop, i used to work on paint tool sai. Just seen to late the perspective issue on the right leg ...
Stinger, that mech is BAD-ASS, OMMMMNN! DING! NEW LEVEL! GZ! Heres just some stuff I have been doodeling on and off during my lunch breaks this and last week, not really happy with anything right now, have a bit of a slow down kind of time at the moment, but whatevs: Day 173 - 182 2015. (ref stuff:)
Yeah, that's about right. Though sometimes I do some erasing of construction lines, and other times I just have a gesture underneath that I draw over. But they also look clean because the color layer underneath was put in from the polygon lasso tool, so I don't get fuzzy edges from the character's shape.
Sweet and awesome stuff in here.. @Makkon: Hope to once again see more stuff from you. You've been a huge inspiration to me since interlopers^^ May I ask a question in here? Can I go right to rendering from this or shall I consider to outwork the lines further before I start to color? Help is much appreciated^^
that same old shit i'm sure we all wrestle with i reckon. in just seeing all the holes in your kit. got so much to learn before that pro as confidence kicks in. if it does. fucken hope so in most cases it's a matter of nothing seems to be working for the majority of a drawing. you sweat. then maybe get lucky. and it comes…
