Just banked payment from April's first client and...client's from LA. Yup, years of trying and out of the blue previous source of rejection became a paid gig starting today. Next personal remote gig milestone, get a client from the UK. Was involved with an old game remake but I lost interest and it's as a volunteer anyway…
Got paid twice in less than 12 hours. March freelance starting good. Repeat customers from Feb. Hope potential LA client decides to pull the trigger so I can have my first west coast remote gig! LA is tough, man. Lots of cheap people asking for way too much work for crazy low rates.
Dammit Autocon! How is somebody supposed to come in here and post something shiny after you say something like that xD Anyway my feel good news is that after starting in this industry 5.5 years ago playing contract tag I'm finally a fulltime environment artist! I imagined it being a bunch of beer and cheers and burgers but…

The thought that I start a new job, in a new role (GUI art) at a large studio doing AAA stuff in 7 days and that this is my last week in a studio and art role that I don't really like much. :D Here's hoping the new job is as good as I hope and not as bad as some of the horror stories I hear…

The next generation of artists are so lucky to be using this tech! man where do I start!!! So much to learn, so many new ways of setting up levels, materials, animation,…
Yikes! icky lookin but great pic nonetheless. On a side note the varroa devastation has yet too make an impact on our 1500 native species here in AUS due to extremely stringent Customs border controls that have prevented it's entry thus far but sadly it's only a matter of time as to when the virus will eventually land on…
@ned_poreyra I have been trying to find a no gizmo workflow for years now but found nothing reliable. You can use this script which kinda improves the no gizmo functionality "This macroscript tracks your mousemovement if activated. When you start a drag in a perspective or user viewport it will find out the best major axis…
