Both versions looks somewhat detached from the character, at least the golden one stick to the color scheme better. Don't get me wrong, I like it, but I feel you could add some element to balance the homogeneous tone of the armor, something to hold it together, if the poly budget permits.
To be honost I like your concepts a lot more, blending it with a chameleon just doesn't work for me. Also the big tongue and tail just makes it look silly, please stick more to the concept! I've started working on the high poly version of my sword, still needs some work though..
Well there's a lot of going on here, great to see some small monthly contest. I might partisipate on the next one. For now I will stick to my Slark set. Here's an update, this is the current lod_0 model, with normal map. Any comment is welcome :) And I wish everyone good luck on there Mirana set!
Just submitted my first set for QoP! Couldn't have done it without your help guys! :D BTW: does anyone know how to add images in the description? I want to stick the turntable in there. P.S.: yeah promo image is kind of lame, but I've spent too much time on this set already =_="
I did a touch-up on my crystal maiden hair texture, I think it looks better, but am wondering if there's something I can/should do to make it better. Thoughts? The old one is on the left, new on the right. (btw, ignore the random part of the hair bangle sticking up, it's something weird max does with the skinning)
Well, I'm partial to the food-weapon aspect for the Ogre Magi, so go for it and see what happens! :) Keep in mind that people are very polarized on the food-weapon idea for him... or so I've noticed. People who can appreciate the humour in it, love it... others are too serious. As far as critique, I would suggest modifying…
mask_1 blue mask_2 blue Ohh new fire thats handy! Managed to take off the a bit of the shine above, looks a little bit better now, still have no idea what I did :/ turns out it was a problem with the spec map Does that match up enough with his other pieces so it doesn't stick out?
zip, to stick that armor into the aquatic theme, why not attach some barnacles on it? also fill the grooves with a lighter greenish tone: http://image.made-in-china.com/2f0j00MCAaLSHqLopZ/Bronze-Sculpture-Antique-Imitation-RXBC030035-.jpg As you can see bronze got corroded, and when polishing its hard to get into the deep…
So I'm making two items for Warlock, possibly a set later on. Here's my first shot at The Black Grimoir lantern replacement, and I might do it over again from scratch. I may need to make the fleshy parts sticking up around the eye look more like ruptured paper and less like flesh. Thoughts on the sculpt?
thanks for suggestion, ya it suppose is neck slot, but the sari (the long cloth hanging on body) i think either under the belt slot or stick with neck if the Belt slot over budget... hair wise i not really sure because i copy from male god of india O_O ah well time to work my other doto stuff that is not related here T_T
