@Kramolnik: Wow, great work mate, that looks awesome! I think you've managed to use just about he right amount of detail. My only crit would be that the weapon feels somewhat out of place, maybe it's the colours. It feels like the gold is a different shade to the gold on the armour.
I recommend blocking communication with each person who spams your page. It prevents them from leaving messages on your profile/workshop as well. I've been doing that and it's definitely slowed the amount I get. Mostly because I'd get a ton of links from the same accounts.

Guys does anyone know if set rating is considered when ranking a single item from the set? I can see several set items on the front page with a relatively small amount of votes. Its a bit odd when there is items on the second page which have more votes and were submitted later.
I like the idea and the sketch, but not the practicality of the skull placement. The amount of contact and the force of swinging the sword would shatter that skull reall quick, if it didn't fall off first. Whoa, really? I just assumed at first that polycounts given were in triangles but as I started making more stuff I stumbled into the fact that I was able to use x amount of quads so I just assumed that's what they mean by polygons. My sword is 492 triangles and both the LoD1 limit and LoD0 limit is 350.
if i may suggest use a darker color on your background, that amount of brightness is making your items darken then they are, a less saturated color is a good choice too the black border in my opinion is too thick and too black you also can use more of your space, there is too much background on your image

I dont know if your using it, however Zbrush has cool plugin called Decimation Master. You can reduce amount of polygons in mesh from 2mln to 100-200k without much difference in shape, at least no one will notice it for baking purposes. If you use it already just ignore my post :D
