This is actually pretty cool. A bit of a run around to get set up. Blend, glow, and smudge not working for me. But I like the quick interface, and feel of the brushes. ahh nm. I guess you have to select the appropriate brush off the toolbar first.
Good stuff Mitch, I think the lighting's great in your scenes! Just one minor crit about your site, I think the text blends in with the background image in certain areas. Try reducing the opacity of the bg image, or change the text colour.
Hi polycount! Following the previous image i want show the same rocks but with their textures and material. For this assets, i made a shader that it makes a blend between a rock texture and a grass texture according with the normals direction and height map. I hope you like it!
Thanks, yeah.. ikr that rainbowy effect rly is a nightmare. I mostly painted it with a soft brush and used some color blending modes like vivid and dodge. Then I had some passes of motion blurs. That's pretty much it, still took a while to paint.
Oh ok, valid point then. However, whenever i see ortho stuff i makes my eyes bleed, i dont know why, i guess my brain wants to force perspective on it, obviously not the same as simply *lower* fov tho.
yes thanks for the screenshot your material nodes are exactly right ! what is missing is at the bottom where it says: blend mode: blend_opaque change it to blend_multiply or blend_modulate not sure what its called anymore in the old unreal there was also a blend_darken but i think they kicked that out :)
These are great man, another job well done on another bond game! The ernst is my favorite, great work on the scar and everything. The only thing that sort of bothers me is the ears, the coloring doesnt really blend on some of them, but then again that could be lighting or something there.
Anyone have an idea on how to fake smoke volume in 3D low poly modeling ? I'm planing to make a model wich will blend skin/smoke/drape material and the hardest thing i see coming is smoke... So i'll be very grateful if you can advice me or give me some links/tips on that method. :)
Hi guys, I've been looking for a way to paint and view a vertex alpha map on modo but couldn't find any answer so far. Thought some of you guys here can point me to a right direction? Purpose is to be able to blend 2 textures together based on a vertex alpha value to be used on Cryengine. Thanks~
Can't figure out how to embed videos so [Edit: Auto-embed?! God bless you, internet] [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ugVuyCXjss[/ame] DDO/NDO painters, 3DO now can do baking. Seem very comparable to the Allegorithmic suite of programs. Free upgrade if you own Quixel 1.0.
