KWAN, when you scale something by -1 along an axis you are turning it inside-out. The texture applied to it will be mirrored according to what was there when you duplicated it. Looking pretty good there, I really like the folds on the sleeves and on the trousers. However, the folds on the shirt itself looks more like sand-dunes than draping cloth. Also, the coat, plus the collar on the shirt looks a bit too stiff. As for the face, I think you've done a pretty good job of capturing him, except… -

It might work to scale the edges in between instead with "edge constraint" turned on. Otherwise I'd just snap them to their parallel vert in 2 axis's to make it perfectly aligned. -

I have to say, adding the canal and pipes really do kick this scene to a whole new level :) I love the leaves pile too - are they vertex-painted with a slight displacement in the Z-axis when the leaves are thick enough?
