Alright, thanks to the great input from everyone so far I've gone about making some adjustments and moving forward. I got rid of the pentagons (there might be just 2 due to symmetry.) I did a bunch of work on the general flow of everything and I feel like it's coming along okay. I'm still not quite ready to completely…
thx glottis i'll try picking up a copy before i get to it! @cube: you have any suggestions for a better case?.. i do prefer quieter cases but if theirs something better out there for roughly the same price.. yea i think im just going to try out the on board sound at first if i do run into any problems i can always pick one…
Amazing, thank you for the banner! Acitone I am doing a series of three tutorials about the woman and modeling/texturing/rendering faces in general. Part one, and when I finish them the other two parts, will be found in my anatomy practice thread: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98003&page=9 I will go over…
What part are you having trouble with exactly? Importing a model is as simple as file > Import > Model for Per-Pixel Painting. If you want to hide a part of your mesh I'd recommend breaking the mesh up into parts and naming them properly before importing to 3D-Coat so you can just toggle them via the 'Paint Objects' panel,…
Thanks for your reply Snefer! I'm a big fan of what you guys did with the wolfenstein games! I have changed the texture just a bit and added more dirt/rust and slightly changes in the color saturation and roughness. do you mean the metal part or the parts with the red paint job? pleas pinpoint what part you mean :) here's…
Good work dude! but I when I look at it, parts feel naked and parts feel detailed. The parts that I marked as red feel "off" to me because it has this big contrast between detailed and.. simple? I am not a modeller so I can't really explain it, but maybe this will help! Maybe adding a few panels and keeping a more cohesive…
I totally like the idea of a dragon tooth as hammerhead. The only thing I would do differently is the detail density of the handle. Maybe it would be better if there was a part that is rather smooth than having 4 parts that have different details. My eyes are having a hard time analyzing the shape of the handle because of…
I've actually been relying heavily on my traditional sensibilities just as much, if not more than before I started using Substance Designer. Substance simply allows me to achieve more, iterate more and stay flexible. Color, form and composition are just us much a part of my daily Substance work as anything else. A simple…
Hello guys, I am rigging an interesting piece of machinery. I did set up a chain using bones and via IK solver I attached it to spline. Hovewer, I have no clue of how to make this work properly. The highligted box like thing should be movable by player (in unity) to left and right. The chain, or rather the bones should be…
I really like number 1, 5 and 6 for the pose (5 my absolute fave tho) As for the model I think C would look the best when you finish the hair. I think A and B are tooo much colored in the face (when comparing to the others especially as red is really a strong color). Maybe do only the eyes & mouth red not the whole / part…
