Hello. Sorry for the late reply I haven't been around here for past couple of days. Basically what you need to do is to use the Clean Up function from Maya(Mesh->cleanup, at the bottom of mesh tab). You should see a Fix by Tesselation section and in there you should check "Faces with more than 4 sides".
thanks for the comments guys! I totally see what you mean about the long part not actually working. I'm really not sure if its supposed to be leader or metal lol. Maybe an easy fix would be to just to shorten it? ill try and do something to make it more functional. again, thanks for the comments! The concept comes from WoW.
wow, looking really promising , but I really would rethink the sword You dont have to put totally senseless stuff on something just to make it scifi. Its super blocky and not functional at all, and credibility is the most important things of all. Good design is simple and you can make it look mighty without it beeing so fat
If you use Resize Image function (Under Image if I recall), you get the dialog box, and with it you got an option called Resample Image. If you scale down, you should put this one at Bicubic Sharper, and it should help sharpen your image when you scale it. If you got it on Bicubic Smoother its going to be blurry.
I think the middle part of the phone where you press buttons (actually I doubt this is a real vintage phone. Since it has buttons instead of a rolling part and looks like there are functions buttons as well). Well I was saying that middle part doesn't look as a rectangle frame like you did but a cylindrical frame with a…
This seems like ill thought out spam. I fixed this "problem" back three years ago when i simply disabled the function in windows through a handy checkbox in a easy to reach menu... Do some research and put a little effort instead of "It's not how i want it, change it for me". Edit here, tell your friends.
Thanks a lot!! @Noors it worked as described, one small snag tho is that it updates in real time after one key press but after being pressed multiple times it does not update until after I click off the selected slider. Would it be possible to add a "redraw view" function to the code upon each key being pressed?
The clipping between the cylinders and the receiver looks unbelievable, they could meet in a more mechanically fitting way. I know you didn't make it, but the concept is childlike. If your objective is learning, you might find it easier to make a real gun because the design is guaranteed to function and you'll be able to…
Ah hem.... :poly124: thanks echo 2 other options: You can also load up a Mat then close DDO, then reopen DDO and load another mat... wash and repeat. And if you use the same 2 or 3 mats you can alt+drag the mask from the correct to the incorrect mask then use the "mask to all maps" function.
thx guys, it is really helpful. But, one thing I am not sure about is that how do I delete faces and extrude a new one? Unlike Maya or 3ds Max, I guess Zbrush doesn't allow me to change the vertices, I just don't know which keys or functions I can use in Zbrush to fix the issue.
