Wasted 10 bones on Devil May Cry 4 on steam the other day. I couldn't make it past the first 20 mins. Stiff gameplay, dialogue and cut-scenes had me rolling my eyes almost the entire time. The game was overly flashy with no depth or substance. But this... this gets my preorder.
Last night I dreamt about this girl who could poke herself in the eye with her finger without flinching... I think this all came about from the fact that I have an optometrist appointment this sunday to try and get contacts for the first time, and I have a hard time with my eyes...
Another change to the aluminium texture, probably wont be the last as I feel it's a bit too grungy, decided to bake the stitches of the seat. Not that many noteworthy changes to the model itself but over the past few days i decided to mess around and greybox a background scene. You tell me if it was a good idea ;)
Static batching should take care of your floor meshes with different uvs. At least that's what I used in the past - not sure what may have changed over the last 12 months. So make the floor tiles static, enable static batching in the player settings and enjoy reduced draw calls.
Amazing hardsurface modelling ! The scene composition is also quite impressive. I only think the outside view is a little too over the top though. In your last screenshots it felt overladen imho. I think the vast windows should be used as a way to counterbalance the complexity of the rest of the scene. Keep it up!
more progress. Fixed a few things and started some detailing. I have to revisit the face. Some of the forms are bothering me. @PyrZern-yeah, I think I made her forehead a little too large. I fixed the arms on the last past. I'll fix the head on the next pass.
The whole company swapped it's 2 dev teams on the floors they were on this past week, so you might see some more mythic polycounters post. I know Mojo had 3 different cubes during the last week. My new office pictured below, and the home setup as well.
Hey Andrew, sorry my presence in the chat has been pretty sporadic the past few days, been taking care of a lot of errands and other similarly boring things. I should be back to a regular schedule now though. In fact, I'm there now if you're working and want some help. :)
you mean for creating the source model MoP? i don't know, it's all a matter of context for me. i enjoyed the hell out of sculpting the folds on my last piece, in fact it was really calming for the most part. but yeah, when game tech evolves to include real time cloth, it's a no-brainer.
Oh I forgot the bullshit they pulled in KY last election (as well as other states IIRC). Putting Gay Marriage on the ballot.. OMG.. ALL of the bigots got out of their trailers for that one. I was pissed... but I took solace in the fact I voted against Bush and for gay marriage in a *chruch. XD
