thanks for prompt reply! i would like to ask what happens to AO map if i choose to have only albedo, spec, gloss and normal map? will it be baked into those four textures or do i have to do it manually? thanks!
Haven't posted in awhile. Haven't been able to do much on this character. So she's baked down and I decided on a hair style. There are no texture details added, just solid colors and hammered out the spec and gloss. C&C appreciated
Well it is a good start but I would Google for dimensions for most of these standard everyday assets that we found around public places. You will be surprised to find out that there are specs out there available. Also what size is the box representing the human figure?
I enjoyed it, immensely. Never felt drawn out to me. Saw it in 3d, though I don't think it was 48fps. The eyes were particularly well done (spec, reflection, depth, etc). I can't wait for the next installment! ~edit:
I love the execution and it looks pretty cool! I however don't think this is a skin for the requested Mil-Spec rarity due to it being very colorful. I would nonetheless upload it to the workshop because this is a great restricted/classified MP9!
You have to be more precise, no specs at all were mentioned. is it a 720p or 1080p tv?, do you have any latency-expensive modes running on the tv? Is it aspect-correct on both the tv and monitor? (4:3 on 16:10/9)
Hi Japhir, Your specs neglect to mention the key detail... what video chip is in your system? If you aren't sure, go to start->run->dxdiag. Click on the "display" tab. What does it say under "device?" thanks, -Ryan
Thanks for the comments, I changed the textures maps around and added a bump map. Now its 1 1024X1024 diffuse, spec, bump, alpha. The fingers are still wierd, I'm having trouble getting them to deform any better =( jason
Here's the "final" on this team. I say "final" because I'll go back to the textures and add spec maps at time allows in the future. If anyone hasn't built a really fat guy yet, I highly recommend it. Fat folds are fun!
From what I remember if your using Maya 8 or below they never rendered out properly, it was like they were just using it as a bump, even if you change it to tanget space; there is a hack plugin node, but it then blows out your spec.
