Wow, this is shaping up nicely ! Here are some remarks on the 3.0.5 beta. I am sorry if this is starting to sound more like requests and less like suggestions or feedback - it's just that I am getting very excited about the program! It really has great potential for rapid shape prototyping. - The view rotation spins out of…
1. What is the minimum education required (If any) ? High School diploma. 2. Where would you recommend I learn ? Depends on how well you learn on your own, your financial situation and now dedicated you are. I'm not really the best person to answer that, you are. Either way you'll be teaching yourself. 3. what specific…

It started to seem to me that shaders codding is one of this "web things" too. For a while we had shaders done after my and other artists requests and ideas , blender nodes constructs, blending modes , what multiply/add to what and in what order and why. Which way to do proper height blend without blur involvement etc. And…
This article is related to the video you linked https://kotaku.com/as-naughty-dog-crunches-on-the-last-of-us-ii-developer-1842289962 It seems like they don't have a production department, and its basically too many cooks? Everything looks pretty good but there is still some strange stuff that is interfering with the result. You have a pretty good eye but with anatomy you only have to be a bit out and the result will look weird. It looks like you are using the dynamesh system for your sculpt. While this is a truly terrific approach it is…
The stones forming the arches above the doors in the lighting shots have some problem normals causing odd lighting effects; it's most obvious in the first daylight shot and the second nighttime shot. Look at the stones and you'll see that some are unnaturally dark over part or all of a face. Demo/show reels aren't really…
A few things: 1) It looks like your wood grain on the shelving is flowing the same way across every piece. Unless it was carved out of one giant piece of wood the grain is going to flow in a way that makes that piece the strongest it can. Even with particle board they wrap in a wood pattern that would flow like wood does.…
Thanks man. It was and is a lot of fun to explore and work on. Blown away by the positive reception tbh. Thanks!,Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't UE4 already support working with deferred decals? I haven't really dug into UE4 yet, but I plan to very soon. Blender is love :) Indeed it is. Hope to share mare on this in…
KP, the alphabetization is only really for the beginning, obviously the order is as material dominance demands, but at the onset of a project it makes working the basics fast. That was just a shot of my blank ps file that I can open up and know exactly where everything is and can quickly adjust all master groups to fit the…
