Yeah sorry , will look into lighting techniques , found them sites on spec and gloss you posted rather helpful, thanks. Renders are in max still, using daylight system, not to intense.
Holy shit, this looks fantastic! Those colors are really nice, as are the reflections. And the assets, those are fucking rad too! Can we get a closeup of some of those tape systems?
I agree. He has a tutorial series for 3dsmax but most of his tips can easily be used in any 3d software with a subdivision system. Regards from Ourense (Galicia)!
Will do. thanks slipsius. i am planning on speeding it up and putting some music as well as put on text box to name some of the system set in place through aftereffects.
Whether it's intended for children or not is irrelevant - it simply isn't a good game. Combat doesn't need to be complicated, nor does crafing. Instead, combat was repetitive and boring, and the crafting system was useless.
I'll be there, probably in the middle of or toward the end of the first hour. Look for a dark NY Subway system shirt that you'll never be able to read OR...OR! A Godsmack shirt. Leaning toward that one.
check if scale of scene is ok and also system and display units.. if not use Tools > Rescale Units tool.. Check for http://www.mintviz.com/blog/vray-render-settings-for-interior-visualisation/
For something as simple as that, go ahead and use per-poly collision. Landscape has a ton of great features that terrain doesn't, use it. Search the UDN, there's plenty of reference on the Landscape system there.
I use it for consistent retopology and texture painting for handpainted assets. Substance Painter I can't get to work for handpainted textures. The masking system is lacking in my opinion, for 3Dcoat.
Cool thread. jgreasley: That sounds like a crazy amount of data. Do you steam it in as needed or just rely on crazy spec'd out systems... Or rely on network rendering or something?
