Hey Norron, thanks for getting back to me, =) I tried combining the mesh and moving it but it has the same effect. I am essentially trying to use the LP as a cage of sorts, zbrush's divisions can work but I would have to project hi res floating geometry onto a 800 poly LP which gives me so pretty bad artifacts. Don't know…
That joke is pretty funny since the problem starts to not disappear at higher res models, and I do hear that comment every time I end up with crappy UVs, since that little voice reminds me. I'm wondering mostly about real low res models 800 tris and less. I usually straighten pipes and everything I think I can get away…
ahh I see im gona try translating this in mel. I know i know python is better. but i dont have time to recode everything. This is part of a large procedure which has 800+ lines. Thanks for your help. I will post the solution up once i have something working.
@Gannon- XD thanks laughingbun and tekmatic and the other 800 people who viewed my site in the past two days- updated site now with better navigation(hopefully) to important things like contact resume, changed thumbnails to better reflect content, ditched header image, added larger top button links to resume, vimeo and…
Hey ya JadeEyePanda, I didn't dynamesh too many items I orignally thought I would have to so it would be seamless but the 3D Printer had no problem printing intersecting geo. I decimated at the end to bring down the polycount I think in the end I came in at about 800k. I split the model up in the pieces in Maya. The splits…
In Krita: make two clone layers of the image or the top level group you want to analyze. Add a Desaturate filter mask (Rec. 709) to the bottom one and set the top one to Difference blending mode. Add a Desaturate filter layer on top of them both, then a Brightness/Contrast filter layer that you can adjust to more easily…
Just wondering, why do you put the number of polys instead of tris? Is it 800 quads which is 1600 tris, 800 tris or a mixture of quads and tris which add up to 800?
