Today i made an ambient occlusion map and worked on my diffuse, still need to add some shadows from his straps and pouches. And i'll make a pose with a cigar when i'm done =)
Ok this is definitely making sense now. Thanks guys. Jesse, if it's not too much trouble, could you post your diffuse for this? Also Adam I sent you the .obj of the scene to your gmail.
Hi, I'm trying to make weapons for some old game engine. These game engine only use one diffuse map for textures, so I assume substance painter isn't a good idea. Here's some example of what I'm trying to learn:
Hi guys, is it possible to lead multiple map channels in to DDO? I have a main texture on my mesh but I also want to bring in another diffuse texture to handle the parts of my mesh with transparency. Is that possible? Thanks
I call it a WIP still because i am texturing the backside of the shield as well with functional leather straps to hold onto to your harm. 512 tris including the skull, Normal/Diffuse/Spec map. sorry for the larger images, not sure if there is a way to add thumbnails.
also you could have different textures tile at different rates, like a larger diffuse map, than have your normals tile more and pan to add more varration, and maybe add a fresnel to it also.
layout and colors are pretty good. there isn't any useless stuff and navigation is as simple as it should be. i'd change the "3 1024 maps" to "1024 diffuse, specular, normal" 3x1024 maps could be interpreted as 3 separate textures.
I don't think that Marmoset 2 supports vertex color (YET?), I had to create some quick UVs in Zbrush and bake the polypaint information for all my textures (diffuse, spec, roughness, detail normal).
unfortunately that won´t help, its already Y+ for Maya render and I have some deatils that I wil need that axis, I also tried differents mesh scales with no sucess Normal and Diffuse Maps
this happens to me as well and it's because the diffuse slider in 3DO goes all the way up making it super white, take it down to around 50% and it should solve it. Sometimes i have to reassign my materials as well.
