Theres no muscle structure here, the face is only identifiable because it has eyes and a mouth. The mouth is way too long and shapeless, it should look more like a stretched out heart but you mouth just looks like flat lines. Not to mention the edges of the mouth end in points, this is no good for modeling. The side view…
Special LARGE FAT expense account for this show. (Was there any doubt for what this is?) This is for all you Special effects junkies out there. They pour millions into the production and get great results. http://www.vfxsoup.com/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=17
Thanks everyone who has taken the time to write your feedback thus far, I'm impressed by the thought everyone puts into their critiques. Looking at the model I can see as you all did that I did not provide for enough flexibility of his 'codpiece'. My imaginiation upon building was that the abdominal plate would slide down…
i see a recurring issue with all your head models. the eyes look flat. they lack the spherical curvature. the eye lids should curve around the corners more. the whole eye socket should also push back slightly and center of the eyes should come forward. either you are using eyeballs that are too big causing less curvature…
Currently working on a flying dirgible. Still working through some things with overall form and design. I'm hoping to add a small cap to the top of the balloon, but I'm not sure how I want to go about it. Trying to break the head on profile silhouette a little more. As such I'm considering adding some nets hanging outward…
Hey all, I've been working on this guy on and off for a little while. He's my first experiment with bulkier shapes. I had a friend of mine at Bioware take a look and he gave me some good advice, but he even suggested a get a couple other opinions. Please let me know what you think and what needs work. Thanks! Fat Anatomy…
Hello all, after a loong break from modelling (coding 3d engine) found some time again I am not that good in 2d texturing so trying to do most with polys Today's work (before there was extensive image research) started from a box. after 4 hours: and another 3: next comes more tweaking with the smoothing and some more…
Hey all, How would one archieve a result like this using Unity? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tCtBiaYDJzc It seems the rocks and the dirt have been pretty well blended, could it have been vertex paint or with one map a result like this can be archieved for big islands? Wich workflow could allow me to do something similar…
Hey Nikhil, nice work. I never watched star trek myself, but the materials on the weapon were looking very flat to me so I found this : which I think is the reference? It feels like your textures are a bit unfinished relative to the face -- almost reading like flat shaded. I think a few layers of subtle noise in both color…
I'm no master of cloth sculpting but like Dustin says analyse references and you should see recurrent wrinkle patterns that correspond to the type of pressure applied and type of material. (diamonds, S, Y, etc...) Those cargo pants you're sculpting should stick more to the body in the crotch area as this is usually the…
