How long does the battery last on the pen digitizer when used frequently? How many AAA batteries do you need on the pen. I'd imagine you must go through lots of AAA batteries if you are going to be using it frequently.
If you can show me tools that let me make a AAA fancy pants character in the same timeframe as lowpoly stuff - about 2-3 days, then I'll hop on it. It's the weeks working on one asset that turns me off of AAA the most.

If you sell a million copies on the app-store then you've got a hit on your hands, going to a studio would be a step down after that. There's more to game development than AAA. There are plenty of AAA developers that secretly want to escape and make their own smaller games.
There's also a game industry outside of big budget AAA games. I think a lot of artists have AAA tunnel vision when they start out so they have a harder time finding a job, I know I did when I started out.
what's up with the AAA elitism here? Good art is good art and good games are good games. Does it matter if it's AAA or mobile? Might as well make a graph "awesome games made with game engine X vs. shitty games made with game engine X".
