Salary in Montreal?

Hi folks, 

             I recently got a job offer as a environment 3D Artist at a AAA studio in Montreal and was offered 43k CAD as yearly salary. I had about 1.5 years of professional work experience (non AAA) in 2D and 3D. Just wondering if this is a normal salary range for a Junior in Montreal?

It'd be easier to give you a better idea if you post your portfolio here.

43k could be great if you don't have much AAA work in your portfolio
43k could be meh if you have an insane-o folio.

I think it's decent for junior position with no AAA experience. Don't worry it should increase quite fast once you get some experience on the team!

@Vincent3d  - His work could be much better than 43k a year, or it could be fair. Again, I think seeing a portfolio is necessary in order to give an accurate idea.

And I really don't believe the "it should increase quite fast once you get some experience on the team".
